Draft agreements
| Contributor | Draft |
|---|---|
| Individual contributing on their own behalf | Individual CLA |
| Company authorizing employee contributions | Corporate CLA |
The intended agreements allow contributions to be distributed in both the open-source project and the separately licensed commercial console while contributors retain copyright. The draft legal texts, not this summary, define the proposed terms.
Origin and proposed changes
The drafts are adapted from the Apache Software Foundation’s ICLA v2.2 and Software Grant and Corporate CLA r190612. The proposed changes identify the CyberBoar project owner, replace the nonprofit promise with an open-source availability promise for contributions merged into the project, explicitly describe sublicensing under AGPL and proprietary terms, and replace mailed signature forms with a proposed recorded PR signing process. The corporate draft omits the optional software grant (Schedule B).
The project owner and final signing workflow must be completed before these agreements become active. The individual and corporate legal texts are retained as drafts.
